A Touch of the Poet
New Haven: Yale University Press, 1957. Very Good/Very Good. First edition. Offsetting on a couple of facing pages from clippings thus very good in modestly age-toned, very good dustwrapper. Inscribed by O'Neill's widow Carlotta Monterey O'Neill to Tony Award-winning actress Marian Seldes: "For Marian Seldes: Wishing you happiness and success! Carlotta Monterey O'Neill. Aug. 8, 1961." Marian Seldes won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in 1967 for her appearance in Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance, as well as receiving four more nominations in acting categories. In 2010 she won a Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre. A nice theatrical association.
