A twelve volume set of the Bradenham edition of the works of Disraeli. Complete in twelve volumes. With an introduction by Philip Guedalla. Uniformly bound in cloth bindings with gilt detailing. Externally, very smart though lightly rubbed in places particularly at spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and generally clean.  Benjamin Disraeli, 1st Earl of Beaconsfield, was a British Conservative politician and writer who twice served as Prime Minister. He played a central role in the creation of the modern Conservative Party defining its policies and its broad outreach. Throughout his career as a politician Disraeli wrote several novels and tales. His last complete novel was Endymion and was published shortly before his death.   Condition Report Externally Spine – good condition – quite bright a little worn and some splitting to the top and base of the spine to one or two volumes, some marks to the spine of Popanilla. Joints – good condition – worn. Corners – good condition – bumped and worn. Boards – good condition – all volumes have a blind stamped motif to the front board, scratches and marks to all volumes. Page edges – good condition – top edge gilt and other edges uncut or hand cut. See above and photos. Internally Hinges – good condition – solid. Front paste down – good condition – foxed to many, pictorial end paper. Front free end paper – good condition – foxed. Title – good condition – some foxing. Pages – good condition – some foxing.
