C Is For Corpse
New York: Henry Holt & Company(1986). SIGNED by author on her own (now very scarce) Sue Grafton - Kinsey Millhone bookplate, which is loosely laid into the book (just the author's name; not inscribed to anyone). 1st printing of the 1st edition with the full number line and no edition statement, as called for; this book has a different method of specifying the 1st edition/1st printing, than A, B and D. Straight, clean, very tight book with no soiling or previous owner markings, in a price intact, clean, crisp and undamaged dustjacket. Because both the book and dustjacket have some of the usual age-toning that affects all the early titles in this Holt series that darkens the paper-covered binding and dustjacket edges somewhat and, to a lesser degree, also toned the text paper edges a bit, we've marked their grade down to Near Fine - but aside from that tanning, there are no faults with either. It is not soiling; just something in the chemistry of the paper used by Holt for the early books in this series that causes them to age-tone that shows up more on lighter colors.3rd in the Kinsey Millhone mystery series, and in collector's condition.; Signed by Author, 10, 20, 22, NF/NF
