- Original antique print, titled: 'The Expected Penny', a young boy has brought the horse of a man exiting a bar (the barmaid in the doorway behind the man). The man is rooting through his pockets for a penny to give the boy. Proof print as indicated. Handcoloured etching and line engraving on a vellin type paper. Alexander George Fraser (1786-1865) was a Scottish genre and domestic painter, who exhibited at the Royal Academy of London for years. Condition: Good, given age. The margins with numerous faint scattered stains. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
