Plan of the Imperial city of Franckfort.
1759 - London: T.Kinnersley, 1759, Sheet 105 x 205mm. A plan of the defences of the Hessian city of Frankfurt, occupied by the French early in 1758, and not returned until the end of the Seven Years' War. This map was published in the January edition of 'The Grand Magazine of Magazines. or Universal Register'. Mostly written by David Henry, the magazine was published as a competitor to the 'Gentleman's Magazine'. The circulation was never high and it folded in 1760. [Attributes: Soft Cover]
