The work contains, apart from general advice on housekeeping, recipes for simple dishes, instructions for slaughtering horses and "Påminnelse om barna-upfostran" [A reminder on the education of children]. Anna Maria Rückerschöld (1725-1805) was the granddaughter of the great Swedish inventor Christopher Polhem and published a number of cookery books, whose contents were characterized by utilitarian thinking and thrift. They each have specific target audiences and the present one is the only Swedish 18th-century cookery book which was intented for the poor. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
