Flowers, grains, grasses and vines form bouquets illustrating passages from Shakespeare plays. Elaborate pictorial initials begin each verse. Tissue-guards protect the plates. Occasional light foxing and spotting, confined to margins, mainly on the tissue-guards. One plate has a peripheral crease, "Honeysuckle". Dedicated to the artist's brother Herbert, a distinguished physician, botanist, and chemist, renowned for his work in Bombay, "a garland from his native land". . First Edition. Olive Green Cloth. Rebound/No Jacket. Large Quarto.
