Crayon style lithograph on a vellin type paper, finished with hand colouring and arabic gum. Description: Original antique master print published ca. 1830 (estimate). Published by Desguerrois. Our definition of a Master Print is a seperately published print or series of prints, not being an illustrative print to a text. These can both be prints made by old masters (artists) or prints made by others (artists, engravers, etchers) after old masters.Artists and Engravers: Lithographed by Desguerrois after A. Weiss. Anton Weiss (1801-1851), a Austrian lithographer and painter of still lives of flowers, fruit and feral. He studied in Amsterdam under J.A. Daiwaille. Desguerrois was a Dutch lithographic publisher (active 1813-1874). Condition: Good, given age. A cluster of stains just left of the image, and some small stains in the margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. Professionally matted, not examined out of matting. Storage location: DPO16-12 The overall size is ca. 20.5 x 24 inch. The image size is ca. 11 x 15.6 inch. The overall size is ca. 52 x 61 cm. The image size is ca. 28 x 39.5 cm.
