London: Weidenfeld and Nicolson,, 1961. 1922-1939 The Wandering Years. Octavo. Original orange cloth, spine lettered in gilt, pink endpapers. With the pink pictorial dust jacket. 38 photographic plates. Occasional light spotting, slight rubbing to extremities, dust jacket chipped on spine and edges. A very good copy. First edition, first impression. This copy is inscribed by the author to Arabella and Mark Boxer, dated to June 1961. Mark Boxer was a profile artist, cartoonist and magazine editor, becoming Founding Editor of the Sunday Times colour supplement and later being appointed editor of Tatler in 1983. Arabella Boxer was a successful cookery writer.
