John Milton: Selections from His Works and Tributes to His Genius (with a Signed Letter to Bishop Oxnam Regarding Lady Astor)
Printed for Private Use By the Welsh Outlook Press, [Newtown, Montgomeryshire] (1935) - 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 151p. Arranged by Isaac Foot and presented to Lady Astor. Besides his terms in Parliament, he was an active Methodist and there is an inscription when he visited Bishop G. Bromley Oxnam in 1943. In addition, there is a two page handwritten letter to Bishop Oxnam detailing of how his friend Lady Astor [whom had beaten him two years earlier for a second term in Parliament] had underwritten the book. Bound in blue cloth, spine lettering gilt, some fading to spine. A very good copy. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
