JACK THE GIANT KILLER.
London, Routledge & Co., Farringdon Street, circa 1855. Dated from imprint circa 1855, 235 x 165 mm, 9¼ x 6½ inches, pink card covers with illustration of Aunt Mavor showing 5 children a list of fairytale titles, adverts to lower cover. 8 very good large hand coloured illustrations, just over half page, small print prose text beneath. The first illustration shows the legs of the giant, 2 cows dangling from his left hand. Spine expertly repaired from inside, restitched, lower margins trimmed close, no loss, last line trimmed off 2 pages by original binder but restored neatly by him, so there is no loss of text. Occasional small pencil mark to text. A very good copy. Not in Osborne, Gumuchian or Oppenheimer, 1 copy on WoldCat. MORE IMAGES ATTACHED TO THIS LISTING, ALL ZOOMABLE. FURTHER IMAGES ON REQUEST.
