The Cactus 1901 (The University of Texas Yearbook, Volume VIII)
The Athletic Association of The University of Texas 1901 - Fair. Cloth covered boards are stained and quite dirty. Binding is in poor condition, with the cover boards detached entirely and some of the pages loose and laid in. Pages are for the most part being held loosely together by original sewing of signatures. Most pages throughout have heavy edgewear (chips, tears, and folds), although no information appears to be affected -- with the exception of a photo of yearbook dedicatee John Sealy, who is missing a portion of his ear and shoulder. All pages are present except for the front free endpaper. Please note that in the original binding there was a misplaced signature, and so pages 153-184 were mistakenly bound between pages 202 and 203. Wonderful historical value. Filled with pictures of faculty, classes, departments, clubs, sporting teams, and fraternities, as well as original drawings and compositions by students. Measures approximately 8.5 inches tall x 10 inches wide. 241 pages + 24 pages of advertisements. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
