Small creases and tears to the edges. One inch chip to the front panel at the top edge. Sunning to the spine with a large chip at the top edge, affecting the author'e name. The original price of $3.00 is present on the front flap. The book is in very good condition. Minor sunning to the spine and board edges with gently bumped corners. Previous owner's bookplate on the front paste-down. Dog-eared ceases to pages 185-207. The textblock is lightly toned, clean, bright, unmarked, and complete. The binding is sound. A dystopian novel, 1984 attacks the idea of totalitarian communism (a political system in which one ruling party plans and controls the collective social action of a state) by painting a terrifying picture of a world in which personal freedom is nonexistent.
