Includes an account of the Monastery at Burgh (now Peterborough) in Pre-Norman times, and to the time of King Richard the First (1193). Volume I: Crowland, 232 pp. Title page is detached but present. Volume II: Burgh (Now Peterborough), 358 pp. Small section of loss to top of title page (text not affected). Vol. III: Burgh (Now Peterborough), 355 pp. Uniformally re-bound in brown cloth with cream title labels to spines. New end papers. Previous owner's bookplate to front paste down endpapers of each volume. General shelf wear to extremities, especially top and tail of spine. Binding tight. Contents generally clean with some light foxing and minor browning to page edges. No markings or inscriptions to text. A lovely set. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
