Jonathan Cape, London 1929 - Beautifully bound by Annie Power (Anastasia Power), in full nine dark green crushed morocco with complex rectilinear ruled gilt patterning on both covers and central tudor rose motife connecting the rulinge with swirling lines, onlaid red morocco floral design, gilt panels on spine. Annie Power was trained by Douglas Cockerell and worked with Sylvia Stebbing and then joined C. R. Ashbee's Guild of Handicraft c. 1902 where she produced fine bindings until 1905 or thereaboutsAttractive handmade endpapers. With Power's monogram gilt palet stamped in lower rear dentelle. Fine.
