The history of the decoys and decoy makers of the Lake Superior Chippewa Tribe. They acquired the name from its gathering practice of harvesting fish at night by torchlight, The name, Lac du Flambeau, or Lake of the Torches, was given to the Band by French traders and trappers who visited the area. An interesting insight into their methods for providing food. This copy is in very good condition with some light rubbing to rear cover, internally clean.
