Tymon of Athens
Thomas Cotes, London 1632 - Second Folio excerpt or extract. 31.5 by 21.5 cm. Pp. 107-128. Repaired closed tear on lower margin of p. 107, less than one inch, or less than 3 cm, in length. Scattered soiling -- four pages with brown spots, none large, two somewhat darker, and the final page with a somewhat heavier or more pervasive amount of soiling, although never more than light to moderate in intensity. Notwithstanding these blemishes, we would maintain that this extract is overall clean, and it is an appealing copy. The modern binding was done under the auspices of Henry Sotheran, in a plain non-obtrusive manner that is often chosen for classic theater pieces. This binding of wove paper pastedown is clean, with a paper title label laid on the very thin spine. Hardcover. Wove paper pastedown on boards. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
