FIRST EDITION 1852, ex library copy, 8vo, approxcimately 225 x 140 mm,8¾ x 5½ inches, Greek text on versos faces translation on rectos, pages: x, (1)-57, plus a folding facsimile of a page of the Greek papyrus. Rebound in plain brown library cloth, gilt title and gilt library reference to spine, new endpapers. Mark left by removal of library label on front pastedown, small neat repair to lower corner of title page, blind library stamp to top corner of title page, another on final page, very pale library ink stsamp on reverse of facsimile, tiny closed tear to top edge of final 2 leaves, neatly repaired. A very good clean copy.
