Commentaries on the Law of England
London: T. Cadell Jun. And W. Davies, 1800. Hardback. Fair/No Jacket. 3044 8vo. Four volumes, complete. Thirteenth edition, with notes and additions by Edward Christian. Binding is tree calf, now very worn indeed (see condition notes). Condition notes: Leather of all four volumes worn. End papers of all volumes seem to be newer than text block and casing. Spines are present in all 4 volumes but with varying degrees of chipping and loss. I have found one instance of pencil underlining. Details for each volume: Volume 1: title page missing. Top board detached. Text block pulling in two at about half way, with crack to spine. Pages clean. Volume 2: title page missing. Top board detached. Remnants only of label to spine. Volume 3: Text block pulling in two at about half way, with crack to spine. Volume 4: front board detached, spine chipped with loss top and bottom, label lost, text block firm, pages clean.
