W.H. Beers & Co., by Culver, Page & Froyne, Printers 1882 - Published by W.H. Beers and Co., Philadelphia, 1882, being a small quarto format hardcover copy that has been rebound and with new marbled endpapers, but that has incorporated the front and rear boards. Easily, the nicest, sturdiest copy I've ever seen. Attractive, tightly bound, internally clean hardcover copy, with unbruised tips, neat and tidy new paste-downs; not ex-library, with neither highlighting nor underlining. Numerous plates. Rebound in brown buckram cloth, and with all edges marbled. Extremely scarce in the trade, especially in this condition. Book I consists of two Parts, the first comprising a History of the Northwest Territory, the second, a History of the State of Ohio. Book II consists of a History of Montgomery County, then the City of Dayton. Book III comprises Township Histories, then Biographical Sketches, then Biographical Portraits, and then eds with sections devoted to Miscellaneous and Illustrations. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
