Printed at London by the Deputies of Christopher Parker, London 1599 - Tan full leather, patterned covers, five banded spine, no visible titles. Front cover spine joints split 95mm at top, 60mm at tail, top string broken. Rear split 40mm at top , 50mm at tail, all strings sound. Leather surface worn, corners worn round, light wear at spine ends. Internally with FFEP missing. First extant page (unpaginated) "The Table and Kalendar expressing the order of Psalmes (sic), to be said at Morning and Evening Prayer" followed by "Lessons for Holy Days", The Letany" (sic) and other services, then "The Psalmes". Two title pages precede The Old Testament, a heart-shaped title within an engraved surround and dated 1599. Second title page precedes The Psalmes of David. A heart title page (1599) precedes the New Testament. Further Psalmes followed by 2 REPs conclude the book. There are some annotations, almost scribble, to the blank recto of title pages, some dated c1720. There are some repared pages o/w book squarely bound. [Attributes: Soft Cover]
