Bound with illustrated paper wrappers. Folding color frontispiece and color title page by Cruikshank. Minor offsetting onto title page, and tiny spot of discoloration at the bottom edge of the frontis, and minor soiling to the wrappers. Marbled endpapers. t.e.g. with other edges untrimmed. Previous owner's engraved armorial bookplate on the inside front cover: Deo Adjuvante; Sir David Lionel, Goldsmid-Stern-Salomons Bart of Broomhill, Tunbridge Wells.
