An Excellent copy, in a contemporary binding of full French calf, the spine with raised bands, gilt diamond shaped floral ornaments and scrolled cornerpieces in each compartments, the lettering piece attractive and intact. Corners sl worn, joints just starting but boards very secure and binding is firm. Minor toning, occasional spot, overall this is a VG-Near Fine copy. Boucicaut (1364-1421) fought against the Turks in several campaigns, and was taken prisoner at the Battle of Nicopolis. He helped defend Constantinople against the Turks in 1398 and was captured by the English at Agincourt in 1415. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
