Red Mesa
Appleton 1923 - Easily the scarcest of adventure writer Miller's books - and quite scarce in dust jacket. The book, orange cloth, decorated with black lettering and a large black silhouette illustrating the front board. The illustration depicts two cowboys reading a tablet with a grave nearby. There is a frontispiece which is repeated in color on the front panel of the dust jacket. The orange cloth is unmarred, the only flaw to the book is a dusty top edge, and a short previous owner inscription. The dust jacket is lightly soiled and chipped to the top and base of the spine. There is a triangular chip to the front panel three quarters of an inch deep, and with an equal maximum width. First edition, with Appletons' requisite (1) to the last page of text, published in 1923. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
