University of Texas, Austin Texas 1986 - First Edition Thus. Published on the occasion of the Texas Sesquicentennial. Illustrations by Charles Shaw. SIGNED by Michener & Shaw on title page of Volume I. Volume I is red cloth, Volume II is blue cloth. The two books placed together in the Slipcase, the spines make a Lone Star in gilt. The slipcase is beige with a gilt and black paper label. Both volumes and the Slipcase are in pristine condition and comes in the University of Texas Press original shipping box. The Impressions of Texas is a First Edition Limited to 400 copies, published by the Universty of Texas in 1986. The book is blue cloth with gilt letters and is in Fine condition. SIGNED by Shaw on title page. It is a portfolio of fourteen scenic paintings depicting regions of the state featured in James A. Michener's novel. It was printed to accompany the Sesquicentennial Edition of James A. Michener's novel Texas. The book is in Fine condition, unpaginated and has a color plate on each page.
