Laid-in is a copy of an email correspondence from Bibliographer/Publisher/Bookseller Howrad Woolmer to a colleague dated "April 01, 2014." Woolmer discusses the avaliablity of bibliographic references for McCarthy and "my notes from my own collection ." Woolmer explains how the publications of McCarthy's two plays came about. McCarthy had sent Woolmer copies of the typescripts and told him that Knopf "wasn't interested" in publishing them. Woolmer suggested to Daniel Halpern at Ecco Press (NJ) that he publish them in limited editions and sent the typescripts to him. "Cormac revised the plays before publication, I believe, so my copies of the typescripts would be eralier versions." Aprx 155 words. Signle sheet folded in half. The book is in Fine condition. Woolmer was an early champion of McCarthy's writing and one of a few admitted to McCarthy's small circle of close professional acquaintances.. Hardcovers. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.The images are of the book described and not stock photos.
