Johannes Berger 1647 - FIRST EDITION, uniformly very slightly browned, pp. [xxxii], 780, [34, Index plus 2 blank leaves, small 8vo, contemporary vellum over wooden boards, later ink lettering to spine, 19th-century allegorical Swedish bookplate, very good. The very scarce first edition of this teaching manual, in question and answer form. The work is in two books: the first, and longer, one is on the soul, the second on the body. The human counterpart to Sperling's better-known Zoologia physica. Sperling was a student of Sennert's.
