Report of the Commissioners Appointed to Enquire into and Report Upon the Circumstances Connected with the Sufferings and Death of Robert O'Hara Burke and William John Wills, the Victorian Explorers.
Melbourne: John Ferres, 1862. Folio, printed on blue paper; in a modern binding of textured cloth. The scarce and important official report of the Royal Commission appointed to enquire into the Burke and Wills expedition. The report apportions blame between Burke himself as the expedition's incompetent leader, the careless overseer William Wright, and the indecisive Exploration Committee of the Royal Society of Victoria. Good condition.
