Slightly browned; creased at folds; one marking in red and one in blue crayon. "[Massenet] was the most prolific and successful composer of opera in France at the end of the 19th century and into the beginning of the 20th." Hugh Macdonald et al in Grove online. He moved to the rue de Vaugirard apartment overlooking the Jardin de Luxembourg in November of 1903 and lived there until his death in 1912; it was here that he worked on his last operas, including Chérubin and Don Quichotte.
