Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens. From The Little White Bird. With drawings by Arthur Rackham. WITH SIGNED & ILLUSTRATED ‘ONE-OF’ ART CARD.
London, Hodder and Stoughton, 1906 1st edition.. Hardback, approx 10 x 7.5 inches. In original maroon/red cloth covers with gilt lettering to spine and front, with gilt vignette to front of Peter Pan riding a goat. Grey endpapers with map to front. In very good condition. Spine slightly faded and bumped at ends, edges rubbed. Moderate foxing spots to half title page and last 2 text pages. Occasional small spots inside, some foxing around title page. Colour plates clean and bright (all bound at rear of volume). Else a very clean and tight copy. - Loose in front is a signed and hand-drawn cartoon-vignette ink sketch by Arthur Rackham, dated “Christmas 1913.” 126pp text . With 50 colour plates tipped in with titled tissue guards inc. frontis.
