Budapest 1988 - Limited photograph.
Rotterdam: Caspari de Gues 1988 - A photograph of the swimming baths chess players of Budapest. The dark image is redolent of the Soviet era, and each of the men and boys in the image look as if they are related to Brezhnev - Crystal Archive Paper - signed and numbered limited edition 4/15. Analog recording with Nikon F4 - size 30 x 20.2 cm - number, date and name of photographer in front written in India ink - Other information and signature on back. Included with this photograph is a postcard featuring one of Caspari’s prints. To the verso is a short note signed by the artist. Beautiful condition. Held in an archival wallet. No flaws. Rotterdam photographer Caspari de Geus has made over the past 25 years, portraits of hundreds of visual artists, actors, writers, choreographers and musicians (including Jeff Koons, Bono, Louis Armstrong, Jan Wolkers, Santana, Philip Glass, Miles Davis, Alberto Moravia, John Cage, Dennis Hopper, Coetzee and Grace Jones). He also has regular exhibitions at home and abroad: among others "Shadow Time 'in the Czech Republic and" Maestros de Jazz "in Cuba. His series "Lonely Trees', 'Daydreams',' Poses' and 'Modern Madonnas' are in preparation. Museum Boijmans bought his portraits of glass artist Copier and the Stedelijk Museum in Schiedam a portrait of Jan Schoonhoven. [Attributes: Signed Copy]
