Paris A. Combette Editeur 1856 Double page title, illustrated with engravings, followed by 2- page "Tableau Statistique de la France et de ses Colonies"; immediately followed by the maps of the atlas, which are nicely hand-colored in outline as well as with some route and river coloration occasionally ocean tinting; present here are 90 (of the 103) which should be found; the "Tableau" acts as a numbered table of contents, only up to a point - since there are only 93 maps listed in the table, whereas there are several maps at the back which, while clearly part of the same printing, are not in the 'table' including: Europe, Afrique, Amerique Meridionale, Amerique Septentrionale, Asie, Oceanie, and 2 large folding maps: "Nouvelle Carte de La France Indiquant les routes des Poste le Routes Imperiales & Departementales...par Charles, Geographe...1856" 22" x 28" overall size with margins, hand colored in full, little browning, splitting along fold lines; and "Mappemonde" par A.
