[offered here]. There is an excellent historical introduction' (Bloomfield, Communicable Diseases, p. 349). See Garrison-Morton 5236 for Laveran's 1881 article, reporting his discovery of the malaria parasite, and Garrison-Morton 5248 for his 1898 treatise on paludism.
