Benefit For Charles Seeling, Percy Coldrick, Frank Walford: Souvenir
printed for the Club by Roger & Rennick of Wigan 1925 - Benefit brochure for three Wigan players: Charles Seeling, Percy Coldrick and Frank Walford. Seeling was a famous All Black and member of the remarkable 1905 New Zealand Rugby Union team. He subsequently turned professional and had a distinguished career with Wigan. Coldrick was also originally a Rugby Union star with Wales. As a League player he went on the 1914 tour to Australia, playing all three tests including the famous 'Rorke's Drift Test'. Walford was a Wigan stalwart whose career lasted from 1910 until 1925. 8vo. 12pp inc. printed paper wrappers, sl soiled, light vertical central fold to front. 3 caricatures in the text. Central fold. Very early and scarce.
