Original patterned cloth, expertly re-backed with the original paper spine label largely intact. Some light foxing throughout, the map with a short tear near the stub. Overall a sound, Very Good copy in the original binding. Dr. Marcus Whitman traveled with him as far as the rendezvous on the Green River. Parker arrived at Walla Walla on October 6 and returned by way of the Hawaiian Islands in1837... Parker's map was one of the earliest to circulate widely and to provide reliable information about the interior of Oregon Territory." -W-C-B.
