Vol 1: xxiv, 776pp. Vol 2: xi, 820pp. Vol 3 [essays]: vi, 855pp. All three volumes have a previous owner's signature, dated 1881, overwritten by another owner, on title page above text. Foxing to flyleaves. Volume 1 & 2 both have some light pencil and pen underlining of text. Volume 2 has small chip at top of spine. Volume 3 has small chip to front edge of board.
