Fine grained 3/4 tan leather with blue boards and green blue title and volume labels on spie with 2 color crown and thistle s in gilt on spine. Raised bands. Light wear in usual places. Notable biographical representation of the biographies of famous women written by Victorian women, a significant subset of Victorian biography, their focus being social: presenting dress, manners and diet of their subjects.
