From Death to the Stars
Los Angeles: Fantasy Press Publishing Company (FPCI) 1953 - Hubbard's rarest book, and one of his most sought-after. One of only 300 copies bound. Comprised of sheets from DEATH'S DEPUTY (1948) and THE KINGSLAYER (1949), this book was issued with a new dustwrapper proudly noting that the book was by the author of DIANETICS -- a matter of some discomfort for early members of the Scientology movement. In a later binding by Martin Greenberg, publisher of Gnome Press (see Chalker & Owings, pp. 170-71). Fine in a near fine dustwrapper. [Attributes: First Edition]
