Collins, London 1938 - Collins, London, 1938. First edition. Book condition: Good. Black cloth boards clean with little wear or soiling. Very faint discolouration to spine. Upper corners a little bumped. Upper text block edge slightly dust soiled. Some sporadic and light spotting to text block edges together with a little staining. A little toning to endpapers together with some slight spotting. Some light, sporadic spotting here and there - mainly emanating from lower edge of text block. The book is otherwsie clean internally. Dust jacket: Good. Unclipped (price printed 8s 6d). Spine a little discoloured and with a vertical tear from lower edge at hinge extending approx 4.5cms upwards and then horizontally across the spine. Two closed tears to rear from lower edge rising diagonally by approx 6cms and 3.5 cms. Vertical tear at lower front hinge rising approx 4cms and extending horizontally approx 1.5cms into front flap. A little chipping to corners and some slight loss to extremities of spine. Some spotting to internal surface of jacket. The jacket is housed in a removable protective sleeve and no efforts have been made at restoration or reinforcement. Probably T. H. White's most celebrated book with line drawings by the author.
