Original brown paper over boards, centred title plate reading `Blake`s Illustrations of Blair`s Grave, Engraved by Schiavonetti. 13 Plates. - Price 2l. 12s. 6d.`. Contemporary cataloguing sticker to spine, boards in extremely nice condition, with only one or two small marks. Front hinge of binding cracked but holding. Minor browning and foxing to endpapers and flyleaves. Faint water stain to lower outer corner of some pages, not affecting illustrations. Deckle edges. Full-page portrait of Blake, engraved half-title page (marked `Subscribers` Copy` in bottom right), and 11 engravings after designs by Blake (making a total of 13 plates). With a poem dedicated to the Queen by Blake, and a list of subscribers. Four-page prospectus for the `Procession of Chaucer`s Pilgrims to Canterbury` by Thomas Stothard in back. Subscribers` copies of Blake`s work are considerably scarce, especially in their original bindings, with the original title plate, and with the prospectus in the back. 36 p. Text in English.
