London 1920 - FOR PRIVATE CIRCULATION ONLY 4to. hardback bound in full original vellum, gilt. t.e.g. 148pp. text plus 52 b/w tissue-guarded plates (42 of planes and 10 reproductions of paintings by Joseph Simpson). Colour and b/w illustrated title pages by Fred Leist and b/w portrait of C. Alma Baker as frontispiece. Printed facsimile of handwritten presentation inscription of the author and organiser to early blank. Fascinatingly, the photographs of each battleplane give details of the subscribers, how much each raised, and the total collected. A clean copy with no previous owners' markings or inscriptions. Light occasional foxing within. Vellum covers rather soiled and scratched. Overall a Good+ Copy.
