- [New York: James Laughlin, New Directions, 1957]. Tall slim folio, 34pp. including blanks. With four full-page woodcuts and a title-page printed with woodcut lettering. Original boards, vellum backstrip, slipcase (split but holding), a fine copy. "Two hundred and fifty copies of this edition . have been printed for James Laughlin in the summer of 1957 on the hand press by Richard von Sichowsky, Hamburg. The type used is Garamont-Antiqua from the Lettergieterij foundry, Amsterdam; the paper was handmade by J.W. Zanders, Düren and the binding is done by Theophil Zwang, Hamburg"--Colophon. Signed by Merton and Marcks. A beautiful example of fine German printing on gorgeous paper in a very elegant simple binding. [Attributes: Signed Copy; Hard Cover]
