His work was caustic, satiric, and critical of then current Spanish society, politics, and customs.The three letters (essays) here are : "Figaro de vuelta," "Buenas noches," and "Dios nos asista."WorldCat and NUC Pre-1956 locate one complete set in U.S. libraries of all three letters. Similarly, the Catálogo Colectivo del Patrimonio Bibliográfico Español indicates that complete sets of the three are uncommon in Spain. Contemporary acid-stained sheep. Modest gilt tooling on spine.
