Fine Large Format Herbarium Believed to have been collected near Havre, France. c1900.
. Forty-four (44) leaves presented in a folio. A collection of dried flowers and plants classified as per the Natura order's method vs. de Jussieu system (methode naturelle). It includes materials from three (3) embranchments with 15 classes and 77 families. Each class is separated in an identified paper sleeve. Each leaf, or page, within the class includes appropriately mounted and identified specimens. A majority of the leaves have four or more specimens. Specimens mounted on one side of leaf only. It includes a comprehensive hand penned list of the contents attached to inside cover of folio. Fine works, skillfully arranged and well executed. Not dated. Late 19th or early 20th century. Measures 15 " x 11".
