Gale & Polden, Ltd., Aldershot 1950 - xv.208, coloured frontispiece and two further color plates, 25 monochrome plates, 6 folding maps with a further 2 folding maps at the back. Publisher's tan cloth over bevelled boards with the regimental emblem stamped in gilt on the front cover (Queen Victoria's Own Corps of Guides), a red title label to spine with a silk tan and red coloured page marker. Inscribed on the ffep "W.W.S. Breem, late lt & affg Adjt, I, and "I have done the state some service, and they know it" Othello. A good clean copy, maps in very good condition. Includes a Regimental Xmas Card without inscription, with the Guides' emblem dated 1945-46 at the fron and a portrait of Sir Harry Lumsden "who raised the Guides" inside.
