Davies, London 1795 - Expertly rebacked in brown half-calf and contemporary pebbled cloth boards with the gilt insignia of the Royal Engineers Library, new endpapers, spine in 6 panels with gilt-stamped spine labels and gilt nautical motifs. Pp. [mispaginated] - Title-page, 1 - 2, [iii] - xliv, continues with 3 - 458. Complete with five maps (4 folding) including the large map with coloured outline, and four folding engraved plates. Pebbled cloth slighly scuffed with gilt dulled, small, invisible repair to large map, otherwise a very good copy of this important work with text, maps and views very clean and crisp.
