The Bed-Time Book.
Boston: Small Maynard & Co. (c. 1910s). Oblong octavo. (8)pp. A die-cut paper doll book, one of four in the Bye-Bye series. The front cover is printed like a quilt, and is cut short to show three paper dolls tucked into the bed. Each of the dolls is perforated at the feet so that they can be removed, and children "can thus play at putting the dollies to bed." The three dolls in this set are a Golli-wog and two girls. The text of the book is a collection of nursery rhymes, illustrated with four color and four black & white illustrations by A. L. Bowley. Advertisement and explanation of the other books in the Bye-Bye Series on the rear cover. Printed in Holland. No institutional copies. Light bend to the neck of the Golli-wog, else fine, with all dolls still attached.
