Lightly splayed and spine-faded, much less than normal, and bottom corners rubbed.. Quarto. 20.5 x 30.2 cm. xxvi; 778 pp. + maps. Illustrated with nine wood engravings by V. Le Campion and a series of double-page, mounted maps by T. Poulton. Translated from the Greek by G. Rawlinson, and revised and annotated by A.W. Lawrence. This edition designed by Francis Meynell and printed by Walter Lewis. Nonesuch Platin type, specially prepared for this edition, with Perpetua and Felicity italics. Limited edition, numbered 274 of 675.
