Photogravure portrait frontispiece with facsimile signature and tissue guard, folding diagram facing p. 140. Bookplate of Horace V. Parker of Jesus College, Cambridge to front free endpaper, and his ownership inscription dated Oct '10 to initial blank. Front board very slightly bowed, light spotting to endleaves. An excellent copy. A handsomely bound copy of what is widely accepted as the most important biological book ever written.
