The first English translation, (and incidentally the first valuation of dogs in Britain), of the Laws of Howell the Good, which date to the ninth century and were recently described as "the greatest intellectual achievement of mediaeval Wales". Later crimson cloth, lacking a free endpaper, but sound. Sold by E. Williams, No. 11, Strand [and others] [etc.], London, 1823.
